Natasha found me through a mutual friend I photographed back in December. She reached out and new exactly what kind of maternity session she wanted, something elegant and on the beach. She was interested from day one and I was so grateful she reached out and wanted me to photograph her. Pregnancy feels like an eternity when you are in it and a blink of an eye when you look back on it, but it is the only time when you and your child are one, when you are at your most goddess like. It deserves to be captured as the magical beautiful time that it is, especially because it doesn’t always feel that way. Pregnant women deserve to be pampered and made to see the beauty in themselves and their incredible, life creating bodies. They also told me that this was a miracle baby, because Natasha was told she wouldn’t be able to have children. So this session really hit home because I wanted to make sure that she can look back on these photos and bring her back to this day. I could photograph maternity all day every day and be a very happy women. seeing the love and anticipation on the faces of Natasha & Rob and getting to capture this moment for them before they embark on the greatest adventure of their lives is such a special gift and I am so grateful I got the opportunity to photograph these two love bugs.
I have to say, each baby that I photograph is so beautiful in their own way. Julius was exceptionally sweet. He just curled right up and slept the entire session. It was so precious! He had the sweetest little round face and cutest little button nose. I could’ve posed him all day. His mom Jesenia was such a sweetheart, I felt like I have already known her for years! I’m so happy that I had the opportunity to make such valuable memories with for this mom.
This little precious boy is the happiest baby I’ve met in a very long time. He gave me all the smiles and I truly was loving every moment. Mile stone photos are so fun to do because thats when your baby true personality starts to show. Happy 5 Months D3!
When my good friend of over a decade enlisted me to be their maternity photographer it absolutely elated me because it instills a belief that my craft is being recognized. It was a lovable and sweet session that Jhane and Edwin allowed me to be apart of. The session took place in September *Cue Earth, Wind, and Fire ! LOL* Yes- obviously I am blogging late but better late than never! September is my absolute favorite month of the year because it beckons the crisp warm but breezy air which is perfect for outdoor shoots. The sun was settling in and the light was beginning to fade but the perfect weather and setting allowed us to take some truly marvelous photos. Jhane and Edwin made for wonderful models and we had a great time. The moments that we captured were memorable and magic and we laughed and giggled about all to come for their baby boy on the way. Stay tuned for his baby debut photos !
There is something so special and significant for your first child and I have been blessed enough to capture Katy’s process through its entirety. What began through simple and quaint announcement photos and stunning maternity photos has finally led to the most exciting part— the NEWBORN SESSION! It is safe to say that I was super stoked because I had been photographing baby Ryan since he was about the size of an avocado at 16 weeks. Katy, who is a very close friend, asked me to be apart of the many firsts that came with baby Ryan and I was so honored and humbled to be apart of this journey. Now, if you have had a chance to see Katy’s Announcement or Maternity, you will have seen how absolutely drop dead gorgeous she is and what a natural she is in front of the lens. So, it is without a shadow of a doubt that baby Ryan has acquired the same. He was glowing and served face for the entire shoot and is just as gorgeous as his mom. I cannot wait for all the candid photos of him to come!
Another marvelous newborn session took place in New Jersey. A couple of weeks ago, I had a scheduled session to photograph an adorably sweet baby boy named Daniel. He was perfectly precious and full of energy as soon as I arrived. After quite some time, and a few happy photos of him awake, his mother and I were able to get him down for a nap. Once asleep I captured him in every angle I could to highlight each detail from the wrinkle in his smile to the fresh flakes coming off of his skin. With every baby I photograph, I feel so much joy as I watch them through my lens. I cannot wait to capture as many babies as I can to keep that feeling going!
